My family & love visiting Captiva & look forward to our annual stay around each 4th of July. I was so curious to find out what staying there this year would be like since the area was hit by Hurricane Ian and did so much damage just south in our other favorite place, Sanibel.
I took lots of videos and photos while visiting this summer and put together some of the clips that I though others might find helpful and or interesting.
If you have stayed on Captiva then you will recognize many of the places. South Sea Plantation was not open while I was there, but I do think they are starting to book again based on an email I recently received.
The island was not crowded at all. Very different than past years.
